Aimed at the voice application area, Holtek announces the release of its new I/O Voice OTP MCUs, the HT68RV032, HT68RV033 and HT68RV034. One special feature of the devices are their internal 2/4/8Mbit Voice Flash Memory which can be repeatedly updated with up to 85/170/340 seconds of voice storage. This makes the devices suitable for various voice application terminal products such as smart home appliances, consumer electronic products, etc.
The devices include a Delta Sigma PWM function with high current outputs which can directly drive a 0.5W speaker with a high volume and high quality sound. In addition, the devices include a fully integrated LVR circuit which requires no external reset circuitry for its implementation. It is fully supported by Holtek’s Voice Workshop for voice editing with up to 1024 voices and 96 sentences as well as providing an ADPCM4/5, µ-Law and PCM12 voice compression modes. The devices also provide a single-wire, two-wire, SPI and I2C communication interfaces for connection with a master MCU as well as a key control mode.
The devices are available in 8-pin SOP package types and with their excellent cost/performance ratio are able to meet the needs of a wide range of product applications.
