PulseLarsen has been committed to producing the very best vehicular antennas for the last 50 years–and we couldn’t be prouder of our current line of antennas for transportation. We have a full multi-band antenna series for vehicles that includes a range of products perfect for whatever your communication needs may be. These antenna may be utilized on most any type of transportation, including but not limited to:
It’s important to understand that different antennas in our transportation series are ideal for different vehicles and different uses. In this post, we’ll look at our top five rooftop automotive antenna families to cover any of your communication needs–and we will highlight each antenna’s unique blend of offerings and benefits.
Our multi-band antenna products are all designed to deliver a complete communication solution, combining navigation and data transmission abilities. However, different models have varying levels of ruggedness, frequencies, performance levels, and mount options. Below, we’ve broken down the benefits of five of our leading customized vehicular antenna families.
Panther (GPSMB5). LTE MiMo, Dual Band WiFi, and GNSS frequencies. This popular series is rugged, reliable, and high performing with high gain–all benefits that makes it ideal for yachts, trains, busses and many other forms of public transportation. With port to port isolation, Panther antennas can be mounted on metallic or fiberglass roofs and surfaces.
Jaguar (GPSLPMB4). Common LTE MiMo, WiFI and GNSS frequencies. This low profile, easily customizable antenna can incorporate up to six different cables for different frequency bands. While it is created for non-metallic surfaces, there are several mount options available for use on metal surfaces, including adhesive, direct mount and magnetic mounts. Customers find that the Jaguar is best suited for utility, industrial and agricultural applications, especially when the vehicle’s surface type is unknown or when low-profile design is important.
Armadillo (GPSCP). LTE, WiFi and GNSS frequencies. Very low-profile and robust with a tamper-proof steel stud, the Armadillo is ideal for discrete and inconspicuous applications. For this reason, it is often used for undercover applications or where vandalism or tampering is a concern. (Also available in a magnetic mount option).
Razorback (RAZ). Our best-performing multi-band antenna, the high gain Razorback has a narrow profile with a tamper-proof steel stud and an IP67, UV-resistant radome. This antenna can be mounted on metal or non-metal surfaces, making it an ideal pick for those looking for robust, high-performing solutions.
Shark Fin (GPSDM). This well-known aesthetically-pleasing automotive design is often used for mobile and fixed broadband applications as well as for navigation, asset tracking, and fleet management. In addition, the Shark Fin is common for Public Safety, as it covers LTE and 700 MHz public safety bands, as well as GPS and WiFi.
